MARGAO: Fatorda MLA and Goa Forward President Vijai Sardesai and his team of Fatorda Forward supporters, all in smart, characteristic blue Goa Forward T- shirts, moved enthusiastically through every nook and corner of Ward No 11 which covered Pajifond and Junta quarters canvassing for their candidate Raju Naik popularly known as Raju Paklo. Raju is a staunch supporter of Goa Forward Party and is a former senior councillor who has been working in Pajifond for the last two decades.
“We can bank on Raju at any time. He has helped us immensely during the COVID-19 pandemic and is always available to lend a helping hand. I wish him all the best and I am confident that he will be victorious,” said Ulhas Naik, a resident of Ward No 11.
Kasim Hawaldar, another resident said, “For any social welfare schemes or any work in Margao Municipal Council, we depend on Raju. He is just a call away. He reaches out to us in no time. This is the level of commitment he has for the residents of Pajifond.”
Orlando Cabral is another resident who is immensely impressed with Raju’s work.
“Vijaibab has done justice to our ward by nominating a candidate who has been selflessly active in the service of the society. Raju knows how to help people in difficult times, and is very adept at solving their problems.”
“Fulfilling the requests and needs of the residents of my ward is what public service is all about. We will be the representatives of our MLA in our ward along with all the supporters of Goa Forward. Our role is to ensure that people’s issues that can be solved at the ward level are solved at that level,” said Raju.
Raju was excited by his nomination.
“I thank my leader Vijai for nominating me from Ward No11 to represent my people in the MMC. I would like to give honest commitment to the residents of my ward and to our leader Vijai that I will serve them with utmost integrity and dedication. I am confident that with the blessings of the residents of my ward, and our leader Vijai, I would surely make it to MMC once again with a thumping majority.”
