CANACONA: A 17-year-old higher secondary student from Shristal in Canacona undergoing treatment for poisoning succumbed at Goa Medical College and Hospital on Thursday.
Canacona police said that the minor girl was a student of 11th standard and had allegedly consumed poison last Monday and was undergoing treatment since then.
According to reports, the girl was initially treated at a local health facility before being shifted to GMC.
A case of unnatural death is registered at Canacona police station and the police are verifying the reason for her to take this extreme step as she has left no suicide note behind.
The case is being investigated by Ramesh Shirodkar under the supervision of PI Sudesh Narvekar.
