PANJIM: MCC Alcon beat Dempo by 17 runs to win the Goa Premier League organised by Goa Cricket Association, at GCA ground, Porvorim, on Sunday.
Dempo won the toss and elected to field.
MCC Alcon scored 207 runs for 9 in the allotted 40 overs.
Tunish Sawkar was the top scorer of the innings with 64 runs while Aditya Kaushik missed out on his half century by 4 runs.
The Dempo bowlers put in a decent performance as Subodh Bhati, Lalit Yadav, Vinay Chaudhary and Srinivas Fadte grabbed 2 wickets each.
In reply, Dempo were bundled out for 190 in 38.4 overs. Lalit Yadav was the top scorer with 40 runs followed by Karan Vashodia(33).
The MCC Alcon bowlers put in a splendid performance to restrict their opponents.
Rituraj Singh and Nihal Surlakar scalped 3 wickets each.
Sunny Patel and Vedant Naik picked a wicket each.
Tunish Sawkar was named man-of-the-match.
