PONDA: A police investigating team from Pune-Maharashtra visited Sanatan Sanstha Ashram at Ramnathi-Bandora, Ponda, on Sunday afternoon.
According to sources, the investigating team visited the ashram in connection with the murder of anti-superstitious activist Dr Narendra Dabholkar in Pune in August.
Sources informed that the investigating team questioned the office bearers of the ashram for nearly an hour and took details of the inward and outward registry of the ashram.
Interestingly, seeing media persons, the driver of the vehicle (Maharashtra registration) carrying officers from Pune instantly removed the red beacon while leaving the ashram.
It may be recalled that this is the second time the investigating team from Pune visited Sanatan Sanstha Ashram, as recently a Sadhak from Sanatan Ashram was detained in this connection.
However, he was later released after questioning.
