PANJIM: Deputy Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly Vishnu Surya Wagh, who had suffered a massive heart attack recently, has been admitted to Goa Medical College and Hospital again on Sunday evening after he complained of uneasiness.
Wagh was attended by a panel of doctors at GMC’s cardiac ward number 125. Medical Superintendent Sunanda Amonkar confirmed that Wagh was admitted following cardiac problem.
Wagh’s wife Aruna chose not to speak to reporters who had gathered after he was rushed to GMC.
Wagh who represents St Andre constituency was elected after defeating Congress candidate in March 2012 assembly polls.
Doctors late night on Sunday said angiography was conducted on Wagh and no blocks were detected. However, doctors said he will be under observation for 24 hours.
Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar, Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister Francis D’Souza visited GMCH following the news of Wagh admission and camped there till late night till doctors come to conclusion.
Minister Dayanand Mandrekar and Siddharth Kunkolienkar have also visited Wagh at GMC.
This is the third heart attack Wagh is suffering.
