PONDA: In a recent crackdown on touts targeting tourists at the popular Dudhsagar waterfall in Collem, police arrested Krishna alias Odisha Naik for allegedly overcharging visitors.
The accused, Krishna alias Odisha Naik, reportedly extorted between Rs 1,500 and Rs 2,000 from tourists instead of the prescribed Rs 500 fee for visiting the Dudhsagar Falls through online booking. The accused was later released on a personal bond. Collem police took immediate action, leading to the arrest of the suspect, who was subsequently released on personal bail.
