GUDI-PARODA: Immaculate Conception High School, Avedem Paroda and Guardian Angel High School, Curchorem booked their places in semi-finals of the Late Ramnath D Volvotkar memorial inter-school U-17 football tournament organised by Insight Society’s in association with Damodar English HS, Damodar HSS and DSYA, at Gudi – Paroda ground, on Saturday.
In the first match, Immaculate Conception HS, Avedem had to wait until tie-breaker to beat Holy Cross Institute of Quepem 4-2 via the tie-breaker after the regulation time ended in a goalless draw.
In the tie-breaker, Dylon Oliviera, Alister Menezess, Salvito Fernandes and Mackson Dias scored for Immaculate Conception HS while Milton Fernandes and Stephen Fernandes shot on the target for Holy Cross Institute.
Immaculate Conception HS’s Mackson Dias was declared as player of the match.
In another match, Guardian Angel HS, Curchorem scored solitary win over Don Bosco Farm High School, Sulcorna.
The all-important goal was scored by Ankit Uraao.
Holy Spirit Institute, Margao will clash with Immaculate Conception HS while Guardian Angel HS will lock horns against OL of Rosary HS, Fatorda in the semi-finals.
