VIRABHAT-CURTORIM: Sao Jose de Areal shot-out Ambelim SC 4-3 via the tie-breaker to move into the quarter-finals of the 31st Curtorim Panchayat Cup, organised by Curtorim Gymkhana, at DSYA ground, on Tuesday.
Ambelim had the first best chance to score in 13th minute but Nial Cardozo’s shot was well saved by Areal keeper Joseph Monteiro.
In second half, Sao Jose de Areal could have scored through Aggio Endro but he shot wide in the 58th minute.
Few minutes later, Areal’s Navil Fernandes’ header was well saved by the Ambelim keeper.
In tie-breaker Sao Jose de Areal netted through Aggio, Listen ,Ignatius and Navil while Perryson, Nial and Rayan scored and for Ambelim SC.
Areal’s Navil Fernandes was awarded the man-of-the-match by John Silva (GFA executive member).
