Goa High Court Dismisses Petition Challenging New Academic Year Notification

The High Court of Bombay at Goa has dismissed a petition filed by parents challenging the new academic notification issued by the Director of Education. The court observed that the objections raised in the petition were not sufficient to warrant a change, thus upholding the notification.

As a result, the new academic year for students in classes VI to X and XII will begin on April 7, as per the Director of Education’s notification. This decision has put an end to the legal challenge and reaffirmed the government’s stance on the academic schedule for the upcoming year.
