At the FIDE 2025 tournament press briefing, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant highlighted that Goa now boasts world-class infrastructure developed after the National Games. He noted that this progress has enabled the state to host several major sporting events. Sawant added that Goa’s identity is evolving, saying it will henceforth be recognised not just for its Sun, Sand, and Sea, but also for its growing reputation in Sports.
