MGP Chief Deepak Dhavalikar Confirms Continued Alliance with BJP for ZP and 2027 Assembly Elections

MGP President Deepak Dhavalikar has reaffirmed that the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party’s alliance with the BJP—first formalised after the 2022 Assembly elections—remains intact for the ongoing Zilla Panchayat polls.

Dhavalikar said the partnership has been functioning smoothly and added that both parties intend to carry the coalition forward into the 2027 Assembly elections. “We are working towards it,” he stated, signalling the MGP’s willingness to continue under the same alliance framework.
