Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant commemorated the 64th Goa Liberation Day with pride and reverence at the Goa University Ground in Taleigao. The historic occasion was marked by heartfelt tributes to the freedom fighters whose sacrifices paved the way for Goa’s liberation from colonial rule.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister remembered the courage, resilience, and determination of those who stood against colonial oppression and played a crucial role in shaping Goa’s destiny. Special mention was made of the brave men and women who participated in Operation Vijay, the decisive military action that led to Goa’s liberation on December 19, 1961.
