The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) registered a decisive victory in the Sancoale Zilla Panchayat elections, with senior BJP leader Mauvin Godinho attributing the success to the tireless efforts of party karyakartas and grassroots-level leadership.
Speaking after the results, Godinho lauded the dedication of party workers, specifically acknowledging Chicalim Panchayat Sarpanch Kamla Prasad Yadav, Sancoale Panch and former Sarpanch Girish Pillai, along with several other loyalists who, he said, worked relentlessly to secure the win.

Godinho alleged that the opposition had attempted to mislead voters during the campaign. He also claimed that a religious head had gone door-to-door in Chicalim canvassing in favour of the Congress. Despite these efforts, he said, the BJP’s victory clearly reflected the true mood of the people.
Terming the Sancoale ZP result as politically significant, Godinho stated that the outcome serves as a clear indication of the public’s verdict and a preview of the results in the 2027 Goa Assembly elections, asserting that voters have reaffirmed their trust in the BJP’s leadership and governance.
