Allu Arjun named in chargesheet over Pushpa 2 stampede case

Telugu actor Allu Arjun has been named as an accused in the chargesheet filed in connection with the stampede during the premiere of Pushpa 2 The Rule at Sandhya Theatre, RTC X Roads, Hyderabad, on December 4, 2024. The chargesheet, submitted before the 9th Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate at Nampally, lists 24 accused, including the actor’s personal manager, staff members, and private security personnel.

The incident occurred when a large crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun, leading to a stampede that killed 35-year-old Revathi and left her minor son critically injured due to oxygen deprivation. Police stated that the tragedy resulted from negligence and failure to follow safety protocols, with theatre management accused of inadequate crowd control despite police denying permission for the actor’s visit.
