Goa Governor Pusapati Ashok Gajapati Raju on Monday acknowledged the inconvenience being faced by the public due to ongoing infrastructure works across the state, but assured that the projects will bring substantial long-term benefits once completed.
The Governor referred to major works currently underway, including the six-lane elevated corridor from Sangolda Junction to Majestic Hotel, the development of approach roads to National Highway 66, and the flyover construction at Dhargal. He said these projects have temporarily disrupted traffic and daily commuting for citizens.

However, he emphasised that upon completion, the infrastructure upgrades will significantly improve intra-state connectivity and lead to a considerable reduction in travel time, thereby easing movement for residents and boosting economic activity.
The Governor reiterated the government’s commitment to modernising Goa’s transport infrastructure while urging the public to cooperate during the construction phase, noting that the short-term inconvenience would result in long-term gains for the state.
