Traffic Chaos at Merces Junction: Congress Leader John Nazareth Seeks Intervention of Gadkari, CM Sawant

Congress Santa Cruz Block President John Nazareth, along with local residents, has raised serious concerns over the persistent traffic congestion and safety issues at Merces junction, urging Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari and Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to step in.

Nazareth said the defunct traffic signal at the busy junction has led to frequent traffic snarls and increased the risk of accidents, causing daily hardship to commuters, schoolchildren and senior citizens. He appealed for the urgent repair and activation of the traffic signal to ensure smoother vehicular movement and better regulation of traffic.
