Tuem Hospital Levels Up: Now on Par with District Facility, Says Health Minister

Goa’s Tuem Hospital, linked to Goa Medical College (GMC), is rapidly evolving into a major healthcare hub. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced that the facility now provides medicines, orthopedics, dental care, and X-ray services. Operating theaters (OTs) are slated for completion in 4-6 months, with consultants already joining and being deployed to Community Health Centres (CHCs) and Primary Health Centres (PHCs). Sawant invited qualified doctors to apply as consultants.

Health Minister Vishwajit Rane declared Tuem no longer a sub-district hospital, it now functions as a full-fledged district-level facility, equivalent to the North District Hospital. Starting today, it promises enhanced services for North Goa residents.
