Shivam Gupta, a 36-year-old entrepreneur in central Delhi, tragically passed away on Tuesday, days after an alleged assault by food delivery agents. The incident occurred on the night of January 2 near E Block, Connaught Place, when Shivam reportedly requested water from a delivery worker. Police said he was allegedly punched, kicked, and struck on the head with a helmet, with two additional agents reportedly joining the attack. A PCR call around 1:30 am on January 3 found him unconscious and bleeding on the road. He was initially treated at Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital and later underwent surgery at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital on January 5. Despite showing early signs of recovery, Shivam succumbed to his injuries on January 19, leaving his family devastated.
