4 Raids in 10 Days: Major Drug Bust Shakes Canacona

South Goa SP Tikam Singh Verma (IPS) said police have carried out a major crackdown on drugs in Canacona, recovering multiple narcotics through four raids over the last 10 days.

In the first raid, a man from Uttar Pradesh was arrested with 431 grams of charas worth around ₹4.31 lakh. In the second raid, a Kerala native was caught with 13.5 grams of charas valued at ₹1.35 lakh.

The third raid led to the seizure of MDMA, cocaine and charas worth ₹5.25 lakh from another Kerala suspect. In the fourth operation, an African national was arrested with 219.9 grams of cocaine worth about ₹1.10 crore.

Police said all four cases are interconnected and the accused are in custody.
