PONDA: A 23-year-old police constable Vaibhav Ulhas Naik, from Dabolim-Shiroda, allegedly died by suicide at his residence at around 3.30 am on Tuesday.
Vaibhav was attached to Escort Cell, Mapusa (PCB.No 9567A).

Ponda PSI Krishna Gauns, who conducted the panchanama, said that no suicide note was found. The cause of death was determined to be hanging.
Vaibhav, who was the sole breadwinner of his family, is survived by his parents and a younger sister.
His final rites were performed at the local crematorium in the evening.
