Headmaster Vishal Signapurkar, along with staff members of GHS Merces and GHS Chimbel, launched the Vigyan Manthan initiative, a comprehensive science outreach programme aligned with the NEP-2020 vision. The initiative aims to connect schools, families, and local communities across Goa through interactive learning activities and awareness programmes designed to promote scientific thinking.
The programme was inaugurated by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, who highlighted the importance of integrating modern scientific education with the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) to nurture curiosity among students. Officials stated that the initiative will include workshops, exhibitions, and collaborative community events that encourage practical learning and innovation. Educators believe the effort will strengthen grassroots science education and inspire students to develop a stronger interest in research, innovation, and problem-solving skills.
