A fish packing factory was damaged in a fire that broke out at IDC Nessai in Margao on Saturday.
Personnel from the Goa Fire and Emergency Services rushed to the spot after receiving information about the blaze. Fire tenders were deployed and the fire was brought under control in time, preventing it from spreading to neighbouring units.
Officials said the incident resulted in an estimated loss of around ₹1.5 lakh. No casualties or injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is yet to be confirmed. Further investigation is underway.
