Sri Lanka batted first and posted 178/7 in their 20 overs. Pathum Nissanka led the charge with a brisk 62 off 41 balls, while Pavan Rathnayake added a quick 44 off 25 deliveries. Kusal Perera contributed 22, but the rest of the batting lineup struggled as Zimbabwe’s bowlers struck at crucial moments. Graeme Cremer and Brad Evans were impressive, picking up two wickets each and keeping the scoreboard in check.

Chasing the target, Zimbabwe got off to a strong start thanks to openers Tadiwanashe Marumani and Brian Bennett. Marumani scored 34, while Bennett anchored the innings with an unbeaten 63 off 48 balls. Ryan Burl provided a quick cameo with 23, but it was Sikandar Raza who stole the show. Named Player of the Match, Raza blasted 45 off 26 balls, guiding his team home despite a few late wickets from Sri Lanka.
The underdog Zimbabwe team showcased grit, skill, and composure, chasing down a competitive total with three balls to spare and sending a strong message to the rest of the tournament.
