Colva: The Social Action Cell of the Colva Parish Council on Thursday organised an awareness programme for residents, highlighting their role as gram sevaks and the importance of active participation in village gram sabhas.
The session, conducted in collaboration with the Centre for Responsible Tourism Goa, aimed to educate citizens on their civic responsibilities and the significance of engaging in local governance processes.

Several residents attended the programme, which primarily focused on the effective conduct of gram sabhas and the crucial role citizens play in decision-making at the grassroots level. Speakers emphasised that active involvement in gram sabhas strengthens transparency, accountability, and community-driven development.
Participants were encouraged to regularly attend meetings, voice concerns, and contribute to the overall progress of their village.
