Advocate Pratima Coutinho has alleged that the death of 22-year-old Samuel Braganza amounts to a case of abetment to suicide, citing findings from the post-mortem report that, she claimed, raise serious questions about the circumstances surrounding his death.
Speaking alongside Samuel Braganza’s sister and uncle, Coutinho referred to the post-mortem examination, which reportedly revealed an additional grievous injury, including a blackened mark and a fracture below the victim’s right eye.
The family and their legal representative said the findings warrant a thorough and impartial investigation, maintaining that the injuries mentioned in the report require further scrutiny. They urged the authorities to ensure that all aspects of the case are investigated transparently and that those responsible, if any wrongdoing is established, are brought to justice.
The statements come amid growing demands from the family and supporters for a more comprehensive probe into the circumstances leading to Samuel Braganza’s death.
