Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke was allegedly assaulted during a protest in Jaipur on Monday, despite repeatedly maintaining that his movement would remain peaceful and non-violent.The demonstration was organised at the Shaheed Smarak to highlight concerns over examination paper leaks, issues in the education system, and rising unemployment. The protest was part of a nationwide campaign announced by the CJP after a gathering in Delhi on June 6, where the organisation demanded the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET controversy and other alleged examination irregularities.
Videos circulating on social media showed Dipke being carried on the shoulders of supporters when a man suddenly grabbed a cloth wrapped around his neck and pulled him. Moments later, the individual, along with another man, allegedly slapped and struck Dipke several times in front of the crowd.The situation quickly escalated as supporters of the CJP intervened and separated the attackers from Dipke. The two men were then reportedly beaten by members of the crowd before order was restored.The Cockroach Janta Party, which began as a satirical political movement, has recently gained attention for its protests against education-related issues and alleged administrative failures. The group has warned that similar demonstrations will continue across the country unless its demands are addressed.No major injuries were immediately reported following the incident.
