MMC Chief Officer Says Police Complaint Filed in Fake Certificate Case, Suspended Officials Under Investigation

MMC Chief Officer Madhu has stated that an inquiry into the alleged issuance of fake non-availability certificates has already been completed and a police complaint has been lodged against those accused in the case. He further informed that the officials allegedly involved have been suspended pending the outcome of the investigation.

Addressing another matter, Madhu said an independent inquiry is also underway into the alleged misappropriation of ₹17 lakh collected through the Holy Spirit feast and sopo collections, involving suspended employee Yogesh Shetkar. He noted that the incident dates back nearly two years and assured that efforts are being made to expedite the investigation and bring it to a logical conclusion at the earliest.
