BICHOLIM: Taking serious note of the complaints from the people, the officers of Sanquelim Municipal Council (SMC) on Friday raided several illegal vendors who were doing business outside the municipal market.
The vendors from the Sanquelim market have been repeatedly complaining about the illegal vendors who have set up their stalls outside the market.
The market vendors complained that they were suffering losses as the people preferred to buy from the roadside vendors.
Following the complaints, Chief Officer Pravinjay Pandit ordered the assistant market inspector to stop the illegal businesses outside the municipal market, which was executed on Friday.
