The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Goa has intensified its campaign against the mandatory use of E20 petrol, alleging that motorists across the state are experiencing vehicle-related issues since the fuel’s introduction.
AAP Goa President Valmiki Naik, Senior Vice President Sandesh Teleikar-Dessai and other party leaders visited petrol pumps and automobile garages in North and South Goa to gather feedback from vehicle owners and mechanics. According to the party, several motorists complained of reduced fuel efficiency, while others reported engine performance issues after switching to E20 petrol.

Mechanics also claimed they had received an increasing number of complaints from customers regarding vehicle performance, which AAP attributes to the use of E20 fuel.
As part of its campaign, the party has appealed to Goans to support its StopE20Petrol.com initiative by signing an online petition urging Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene and review the nationwide rollout of E20 petrol.
AAP maintains that the concerns raised by motorists and mechanics warrant a reassessment of the mandatory implementation of the ethanol-blended fuel.
