The Pernem BJP Mandal on Friday said Mission For Local President Rajan Korgaonkar should refrain from taking credit for government development works, asserting that Pernem MLA Pravin Arlekar has been consistently working towards the constituency’s development.
Addressing a press conference, BJP Mandal office-bearers said several infrastructure and development projects are being implemented across Pernem in a planned and systematic manner under the leadership of the sitting MLA.

The party leaders stressed that government projects cannot be completed within a few days or weeks, as every development work must undergo administrative approvals, funding sanctions, tendering procedures and other statutory formalities before execution.
The BJP Mandal said these processes should be respected and alleged that it was inappropriate for individuals to claim credit for projects that are being carried out through official government mechanisms.
Criticising Mission For Local President Rajan Korgaonkar, the party challenged him to demonstrate his commitment through constructive work rather than, what it described as, publicity-oriented activities.
The BJP Mandal reiterated its support for MLA Pravin Arlekar, stating that he remains committed to the overall development of the Pernem constituency and that ongoing projects will continue to benefit local residents.
