Jennifer Monserrate’s Family Collects Mortal Remains After State-Honours Cremation

Revenue Minister Atanasio “Babush” Monserrate, along with his son and Panaji Mayor Rohit Monserrate, collected the mortal remains of former Taleigao MLA Jennifer Monserrate from the Moksha St. Inez Crematorium in Panaji following her cremation with full state honours.

Family members performed the traditional post-cremation rituals in a solemn atmosphere as they bid a final farewell to the veteran politician.

Jennifer Monserrate, a former minister and three-time legislator, was accorded full state honours during her last rites, including a guard of honour and a gun salute. Political leaders from across Goa paid tributes to her, recognising her long years of public service and contributions to the state.

She passed away after a prolonged illness, leaving behind a significant legacy in Goa’s political landscape.
