The South Goa Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) has intensified its food safety enforcement, imposing a ₹30,000 fine on a milk supplier, seizing 20 kg of unlabelled paneer, and penalising seven food business operators during inspections carried out in Salcete and Ramdamol.
During the inspection drive, officials fined a milk supplier ₹30,000 for violating food safety norms. The team also seized 20 kg of paneer that lacked the mandatory labelling requirements, preventing the product from being sold to consumers.

In addition, seven food business operators were collectively fined ₹14,000 for various violations detected during the inspections.
The FDA said the enforcement drive forms part of its ongoing efforts to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and protect public health. Food business operators have been urged to strictly adhere to labelling, hygiene and licensing requirements to avoid penalties and ensure the supply of safe food products.
