Chicalim: Social worker Tulsidas Fal Dessai distributed fruit-bearing plant saplings to doctors, nurses and staff at Chicalim District Hospital as part of a green initiative aimed at promoting environmental conservation and encouraging tree plantation.
Speaking on the occasion, Fal Dessai said the initiative was a tribute to the dedication shown by healthcare professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic. He noted that doctors and frontline workers had saved countless lives by providing timely medical care and life-saving oxygen during the health crisis.
“As a token of gratitude, I am presenting these trees, which will provide natural oxygen and serve future generations,” he said, highlighting the long-term environmental benefits of tree planting.
The hospital staff welcomed the initiative and pledged to nurture the saplings, contributing to a greener hospital campus and a healthier environment.
