Goa is expected to experience another spell of widespread rainfall next week, with isolated areas likely to receive heavy to very heavy showers, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The weather department has cautioned that strengthening weather systems over the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal could bring intense rainfall across the state. The expected downpour may result in localised flooding, waterlogging, traffic disruptions and landslides in vulnerable regions.

In response to the forecast, the Goa government has issued a public advisory urging residents to exercise caution during periods of heavy rain.
People have been advised to stay away from rivers, waterfalls, beaches, lakes, reservoirs and other water bodies, where water levels and currents can rise rapidly due to continuous rainfall.
The advisory also warns against attempting to cross flooded roads, bridges or submerged pathways, as these pose serious risks to life and safety. Citizens have been urged to remain alert and strictly adhere to warnings and instructions issued by the authorities until weather conditions improve.
