A warehouse storing decoration materials in Torse village was burgled, with goods worth an estimated ₹2 lakh stolen by unidentified persons, police said.
The theft took place in the Shetyewada area of Torse, where the warehouse belongs to local businessman Prakash Shetye. According to preliminary information, the accused allegedly broke into the premises and fled with decoration materials valued at approximately ₹2 lakh.
The incident has sparked concern among local traders and business owners, who fear a rise in thefts in the area.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to identify the accused and recover the stolen property. Further inquiries are underway.
