Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant on Tuesday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ is not a political speech programme but a platform dedicated to the people, highlighting inspiring stories and initiatives from across the country.
Speaking at an event in Sankhali, the Chief Minister said the programme reflects the vision of “Vikas Bhi aur Virasat Bhi” (Development as well as Heritage) by showcasing India’s rich cultural diversity, traditions and grassroots innovations.

Sawant encouraged people, especially students, to devote some time each month to watching the programme. Pointing out that people spend more than half an hour on their mobile phones every day, he said dedicating just 30 minutes a month to Mann Ki Baat would help them learn about innovative ideas, achievements and developmental initiatives taking place across the country.
As part of the event, two segments of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat programme were screened for students of the Government College in Sankhali. The Chief Minister later interacted with the students and offered guidance, encouraging them to draw inspiration from the stories and initiatives featured in the programme.
