Tensions ran high in Kosti, Sanvordem, on Friday as residents engaged in a heated verbal altercation with the owner of a piggery farm during a joint inspection conducted by government authorities.
The inspection was carried out by officials from the Health Department, the Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB), and the Animal Husbandry Department in the presence of Sanvordem MLA Ganesh Gaonkar. The visit followed repeated complaints from local residents over alleged pollution from the piggery.
