Police constable Gauresh Naik, currently stationed at Porvorim and formerly attached to Valpoi Police Station, has been suspended following allegations of accumulating disproportionate assets during his service in Valpoi.
Shortly after the announcement of his suspension, an unidentified individual set off firecrackers right outside the Valpoi Police Station premises, seemingly in celebration of the disciplinary action taken against the officer. The loud display attracted immediate attention, leaving authorities and locals surprised by the bold public reaction.

As of now, local police have not officially confirmed the identity of the person responsible for setting off the crackers. The exact motivations behind this public demonstration of joy also remain under investigation.
