Margao: A large number of residents gathered at the Margao Municipal Council (MMC) and the office of Margao MLA Digambar Kamat on Monday to collect and submit application forms under the newly launched Goa Ujjwala Yojana 2026.
The rush followed the Goa Government’s launch of the scheme, which aims to provide financial assistance to eligible households to help meet their cooking-fuel expenses.
Under the Goa Ujjwala Yojana 2026, eligible beneficiaries will receive ₹3,000 annually towards cooking-fuel costs.
The heavy turnout at the civic office and the MLA’s office highlighted the strong interest among residents seeking to avail themselves of the newly announced financial assistance.
