Margao: Goa hosted a grand finale to the 11th U/14 Mini National Tennis Ball Cricket Championship 2026 and the All India Inter-Zonal Tennis Ball Cricket Championship 2026, with teams from across the country competing over three days from September 7 to 9.
The championships were organised by the Goa Tennis Ball Cricket Association (GTBCA) in collaboration with the Tennis Ball Cricket Federation of India (TBCFI) and the Sports Authority of Goa.

The event brought together players, coaches, managers and officials representing 24 states and zones across India, with the matches showcasing competitive cricket, sporting talent and team spirit.
Goa Girls Emerge National Champions
Goa produced a standout performance in the U/14 Girls Mini National Championship, defeating strong competition to finish as national champions.
The final standings were:
- 🥇 Goa – Champions
- 🥈 Tamil Nadu – Runners-up
- 🥉 Maharashtra & Karnataka – Joint third
The Goa girls maintained an impressive run throughout the tournament to claim the top spot and bring further recognition to the state.
Goa Boys Finish Runners-Up
The Goa boys also delivered a strong performance in the U/14 Boys Mini National Championship, finishing second.
The standings were:
- 🥇 Maharashtra – Champions
- 🥈 Goa – Runners-up
- 🥉 Andhra Pradesh & Pondicherry – Joint third
Goa Secures Joint Third in Inter-Zonal Championship
Goa also impressed in the All India Inter-Zonal Tennis Ball Cricket Championship, securing a joint third-place finish in the men’s category.
Uttar Pradesh emerged champions, while Pondicherry finished runners-up. Mumbai and Goa shared third place.
In the All India Tennis Ball Cricket Championship 2026 – Men, Madhya Pradesh secured the title, followed by Western Uttar Pradesh in second place. Karnataka and Rajasthan finished joint third.
The successful three-day championships highlighted the growing popularity of tennis ball cricket and Goa’s contribution to promoting the sport at the national level.
The strong performances by both the Goa girls and boys, particularly the girls’ national title and the boys’ runners-up finish, provided a memorable conclusion to the championships hosted in the state.
