Curchorem Front and Goa Forward leaders today filled a dangerous pothole at Assolda, where several motorists have reportedly met with accidents.
The pothole had been repaired a few days ago with the help of a jet patcher, but the repair soon deteriorated, leaving the stretch unsafe for commuters. Despite the worsening condition, no further action was taken, the leaders said.
Two days ago, two girls reportedly fell from their vehicle after hitting the pothole, highlighting the serious safety risk faced by motorists using the road.
Goa Forward leaders said several roads in Curchorem continue to remain in poor condition. They alleged that authorities have carried out only temporary pothole-filling work at various locations, while many stretches remain unsafe and difficult to navigate.
The leaders called for proper and lasting repairs to ensure safer roads for motorists and prevent further accidents, instead of relying on temporary measures that quickly deteriorate.
