Kankumbi: Excise officials seized around 400 litres of liquor spirit during a check at the Kankumbi checkpost on the Goa-Karnataka route.
According to officials, the liquor spirit was concealed in cans and bottles inside a specially created partition of a BharatBenz six-wheeler, apparently in an attempt to evade detection.

The vehicle and the seized liquor were collectively valued at approximately ₹10.40 lakh.
Two persons have been booked in connection with the seizure under relevant provisions of the Karnataka Excise Act. Further investigation is underway.
