“I have been getting calls  almost every day inquiring about the status with respect to the return of their family members as there are many seafarers from Cortalim constituency who are stranded on the ships and their mothers, wives and children are going through sleepless nights waiting for them to come home.

“ I thank the CM who is presently getting the necessary infrastructure in place to quarantine the 8,000 odd seafarers through the Nodal Officer. The Nodal Officer is also in constant touch with the PMO and the Ministry of External Affairs to get a quick solution to this major issue and as per today’s news, the solution is awaited within two days from the PMO and I appeal to the CM to ensure that this becomes a reality at the earliest possible”, she added.
