Margao Court Grants Conditional Bail to Bengaluru Man in ₹35.9 Lakh Digital Arrest Scam Case

The Margao JMFC Court has granted conditional bail to Mohan Kumar G, a 25-year-old resident of Bengaluru, who was arrested by the Cyber Crime Police in connection with an alleged ₹35.9 lakh cheating case involving a Margao resident.

According to the case, Kumar and his associates allegedly defrauded the victim as part of a “digital arrest” scam, in which the accused allegedly impersonated police officials to convince the victim that they were involved in a legal case.

The Cyber Crime Police arrested Kumar in connection with the alleged fraud, following which he was produced before the Margao JMFC Court.

The court has now granted him conditional bail. The investigation into the alleged fraud and the involvement of other persons in the case is continuing.
