Archbishop Filipe Neri Ferrao today evening blessed and inaugurated the newly extended church of Saint Francis Xavier at Macazana. A thanksgiving mass was also held on the occasion.
“I thank the Archbishop for coming here and blessing the church and i also thank the people for contributing for the construction of the church. I also thank all the engineers and architects for making this place beautiful. Its our dream come true” said Fr. Lauzerio Godinho, Parish Priest of Macazana.
Fr Godinho also added that it was a long pending need of the parishioners and with the support of everybody they could complete the new church at the earliest.
The Archbishop said “The Church which has been newly constructed for the Parish of Macazana will be worth only when the devotees will inculcate the values of Jesus Christ through prayers and daily life” he said.
