According to the Chief Officer Sagun Velip, Councillor Sushant Naik and Shrikant Gaonkar filed their nomination for the post of chairperson while Aprna Prabhudessai and Sujata Naik filed for the post of vice chairperson. Chief Officer of Sanguem Municipal Council, Pramod Dessai has been appointed as the presiding officer to preside over and conduct the election.
It is learnt from reliable sources that Sushant Naik and Sujata Naik are likely to be elected as the chairperson and the vice-chairperson.
