PONDA: The Goa Rakhan Manch (GRM) on Thursday threatened to intensify its agitation against the government’s Medium of Instruction (MoI) policy.
Addressing a meeting at Ponda, GRM leader Yugank Naik warned the government not to divide Goans for political gains. Naik threatened to intensify the agitation against the government at every street and corner of the State. He also threatened to campaign to defeat the Congress and BJP candidates in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections in the State.
“Street plays and dramas will be staged to create awareness among the voters regarding Goa losing its culture because of wrong educational policy,” he said.
“Our stand on MoI policy is clear, as two years ago the Congress government lost in the assembly elections due to this issue. I appeal to Goans to teach this government the same lesson which was taught to the Kamat government,” said Naik.
Naik said they will question MG Party’s stand on the issue within 8 days by meeting its two ministers.
