Goa’s Public Transport Woes: Commuters Endure Long Waits and Crowded Buses

Travelling from Panjim to Margao and Vasco is becoming a test of patience for the common man every passing day. The photo attached is of the public waiting for nearly half an hour for a local bus to travel from Panjim to Margao.

Many times after losing their patience, commuters are forced to join yet another long queue for the shuttle service bus.

On the other hand, due to long gaps between local buses commuting on these routes, people waiting at different bus stops then are forced to travel in jam packed buses, adding to their suffering. When will Goa’s public transport genuinely serve the public?
