DAVORLIM: BJP candidate Ulhas Tuenkar won the Davorlim seat by a convincing margin of 1539 voters. BJP rebel leader Satyavijai Naik who contested the polls as an Independent finished behind Ulhas in the 10-cornered contest. Satyavijai polled 1897 votes, while Leon Raikar finished third with 1839 votes.
Ulhas told the media that the BJP voters stood behind the party despite the rebellion, adding that people of his home village, Rumdamol supported him in a big way.
