Tourist from Nipani Dies After 400-Foot Fall into Gorge at Amboli’s Mahadevgad Point

A 45-year-old tourist from Nipani, identified as Dr. Ayub Syed, was found dead after falling nearly 400 feet into a gorge at Mahadevgad Point in Amboli during the monsoon tourist season.

The accident triggered a search operation that continued overnight. On Wednesday, members of the Sahyadri Adventure Rescue Group, assisted by the police, recovered the victim’s body from the deep gorge.
